Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd test day 5 2026

 

Pakistan have been defeated by Bangladesh by 78 runs in the second test played at Sylhet. In this way Bangladesh have white washed Pakistan for the second time since 2024 when Bangladesh whitewashed Pakistan in their home 2-0 at Rawalpindi. 

Pakistan didnt bowl well throughout this test match and when they had Bangladesh reeling at 116 for 6 they should have gone for the kill and completed the job by dismissing Bangladesh for a total of under 150 runs if they had done that Pakistan would have probably won this test match instead they allowed Litton Das to score a century and accumulate runs along with the tail.

Pakistan really lack a genuine fast bowler like Nahid Rana and have bowlers like Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas, Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali who are medium pacers at best.

In the end what I would like to say is that Shan Masood should now resign from captaincy after having another pathetic series as captain.

Pakistani Legend Ijaz Ahmed

 

Ijaz Ahmed was a great striker of the cricket ball and a stylish batsmen and match winner. He had a very unorthodox technique because of which he was prone to being out leg before wicket and being bowled around his legs. Nevertheless he was a very useful batsmen coming at No.3 in the batting order. He also used to shuffle a lot in his crease and was often trapped Leg before wicket.

Ijaz Ahmed in particular had a great record against Australia and it was his century in Sydney Test which helped Pakistan to win that test match in 1995 under the captaincy of Wasim Akram.  That Test victory over Australia was Pakistan's last test victory on Australian soil.

Ijaz Ahmed send into bat as an opener against India in the third ODI of Pakistan - India ODI series 1997 scored a memorable whirlwind innings of 139 runs off only 81 balls which helped Pakistan to a comfortable 9 wicket win over India in only 26 overs chasing India's total of 226 runs. 

In the end what I would like to say is that if Twenty20 cricket was played in Ijaz Ahmed's era then Ijaz Ahmed would have proved to be an excellent batsmen in twenty20 internationals.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh 5th days play First Test 2026

Pakistan lost to Bangladesh in the first test at Mirpur Dhaka by 104 runs. Pakistan's batsmen were found to be particularly vulnerable to Nahid Rana's pace on the fifth day's pitch which was wearing and tearing. Pakistan made the huge mistake of bowling first on a pitch which was flat on the first three days of the test match.

Although Pakistan's debutantes Azan Awais and Abdullah Fazal shone with the bat throughout the test match the senior batsmen especially Shan Masood and Saud shakeel failed miserably. Shan Masood as captain should lead from the front just like Imran Khan used to do in his playing days but Shan Masood is doing exactly the opposite.

In the end what I would like to say is that Bangladesh's bowling is their strength and Pakistan will do well if they can draw this test series 1-1 with Bangladesh.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh 3rd Day first test 2026

 

Well the Pakistani batsmen have somewhat restored parity in this test match with Bangladesh at Mirpur Dhaka especially their newcomers debutantes Azan Awais and Abdullah Fazal. Azan Awais scored a superb century on debut while Abdullah Fazal scored a compact 60.

All the Pakistani senior batsmen failed except for Muhammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha. Although Imam ul Haq played a useful knock of 43 runs but his score wasnt substantial. Now I hope Pakistan bowl out Bangladesh for a low total of around 200 runs to stand any chance of winning this test match.

In Mohammad Abbas they have a bowler who can bowl out Bangladesh for a paltry score of under 250 runs.

In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan will need to bat exceedingly well as things will get tough for them in the fourth innings of this test match as the pitch wears out.

PSL HBL 2026 Final

 

Peshawar Zalmi lift the trophy for the second time in PSL history since winning it for the first time in 2017. Hyderabad Kingsmen were overawed by the occasion and their batsmen in their bid to accelerate the scoring lost their wickets at regular intervals to post a below par total of 129 runs.

Peshawar Zalmi had a very strong bowling attack and took 95 wickets out of possible 110 wickets in the season. Their batting had a very strong top 3 in the batting order in Babar Azam, Muhammad Haris and Kusal Mendis.

Hyderabad had a good all round team too but not as prolific as Peshawar zalmi. Hyderabad also didnt perform as consistently as Peshawar Zalmi winning just 5 matches out of 10 and just edging past Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings on the basis of net run rate.

In the end what I would like to say is that Peshawar Zalmi were the best team in the tournament and rightly deserved to win the tournament.

Karachi Kings knocked out of PSL 2026

 

Karachi kings have been knocked out of PSL 2026 when Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi yesterday. Karachi Kings have a lower net run rate than Lahore Qalandars with 5 wins each so therefore Lahore Qalandars displace Karachi Kings at fourth place in the PSL 2026 table.

There are many reasons for Karachi Kings elimination from the tournament. First of all David Warner's absence was a big blow to Karachi Kings both as captain and as a player before he returned it was too late for Karachi Kings to recover. Karachi Kings bowling was poor throughout the tournament and no bowler except for Hasan Ali was consistent. The pitches in Karachi didnt suit them that's why they didnt win a single match in Karachi.

In the end what I would like to say is that Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal should select a better team for PSL 2027 season if they are to win the tournament.

Karachi Kings lose again in PSL 2026

 

Karachi Kings losing streak in PSL 2026 continues as they lost a nail biting match against Multan Sultan by 11 runs. Karachi kings bowling needs a lot to be desired as mainly its bowling is leaking so many runs that karachi are now in a losing streak of four losses in a row. Karachi came close to winning this time but again their bowlers leaked a huge total of 207 runs that Multan Sultan scored.

Without David Warner even Karachi's batting suffers as their new openers seldom give them a good start. The batting form of all rounders Khushdil Shah and Moeen Ali is also a cause for concern. In bowling no bowler is effective perhaps only Hasan Ali is effective.

In the end what I would like to say is that Karachi Kings will need to improve their batting and bowling up a few knots if they are going to get back to their winning ways.

Karachi kings campaign is now faltering PSL 2026

 

Karachi Kings campaign is now faltering as they have lost three consecutive matches in a row after winning three consecutive matches in a row. They are now even behind Hyderabad Kingsmen who displace Karachi Kings at fourth position in the PSL table. Karachi Kings are clearly missing the services of their captain David Warner and Reeza Hendricks his replacement in the Karachi Kings team isnt doing well.

Their bowling is toothless and without any penetration as only Hasan Ali and too some extent Adam Zampa are able to somewhat contain the batsmen. Moeen Ali, Mir Hamza and Abbas Afridi are proving to be too expensive which is the reason why Karachi Kings are losing so badly.

In the end what I would like to say is that Karachi Kings need a miracle to comeback in the tournament now.

Pakistani cricket on the decline

 

Pakistani cricket is in decline and Pakistani cricket in the doldrums. Pakistan has just lost an ODI series against Bangladesh which is a low ranked team and is ranked 10th in ODI ICC rankings. On the otherhand Pakistan ranked 4th in ODI ICC rankings were expected to beat Bangladesh even with this second string team..

No doubt that Bangladesh's bowling is strong but even Pakistani bowlers let Pakistan down in the 3rd ODI by conceding a huge total of 290 runs which was too much for an inexperienced and young team like Pakistan.

In the Twenty20 World Cup held recently in India and Sri lanka Pakistan failed to reach the semi finals of the tournament. They only defeated Sri lanka amongst the big teams and when they faced strong teams such as India and England they were defeated.

Pakistan has failed to reach the semi finals of any ICC event held since Twenty20 world Cup 2022 in Australia where they reached the Final against England and were the runners up.

In the end what i would like to say is that the current Pakistan cricket team doesnt have the ability to challenge top international teams in world cricket.

Karachi Kings are on a roll in PSL 2026

 

Karachi kings are on a winning streak in HBL PSL 2026 and are currently at the top of the table in PSL 2026. They,just defeated Lahore qalandars and Rawalpindiz by chasing totals of 128 and 197 respectively. 

Karachi are a tough team to beat in this season because they have a great all round team in this years tournament so far . they have got variety in batting and bowling. In batting david Warner and Azam Khan are in form and in bowling Hasan Ali is in great form. Hence karachi kings are the form team in this year's competition so far.

In the end what I would like to say is that Karachi definitely have the the credentials and ingredients to go all the way and lift the trophy.

Karachi kings prospects in PSL 2026

 

Karachi Kings prospects in PSL 2026 are bright as they started off brightly by beating last year's runners up Quetta Gladiators by 14 runs in their opening match of PSL 2026. Karachi kings recovered in both batting and bowling to beat Quetta gladiators. 

In batting Moeen Ali rescued them by scoring a fast innings of 48 runs and in bowling Hassan Ali was the star and rescued them by taking four wickets. It was a good allround show with the bat and ball by Karachi kings in their first match of the tournament.

In batting Karachi has star players like David Warner, Moeen Ali, Salman Ali Agha and khushdil Shah whereas in bowling they have experienced and great bowlers like Hassan Ali, Mir Hamza and Adam Zampa. All together Karachi Kings are a strong team.

In the end what I would like to say is that Karachi Kings will atleast reach the playoffs if not win the PSL 2026.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI 2026

 Pakistan although lost this series 2-1 to Bangladesh have a lot to gain from this series as they found new talent like Maaz Sadaqat, Ghori, Abdul Samad and Saad Masood.

No problem in losing a series like this when you go down fighting and find precious new talent. Ghori, Abdul Samad and Saad Masood showed their talent and played substantial innings before inexperience got the better of them and got them out without winning the match for Pakistan.

Salman Ali Agha played one of the innings of his life but I feel we let Bangladesh score a formidable total of 290 and conceded too many runs in the end. Our bowling in this match let us down.

In the end what I would like to say is that after trying so many inexperienced players in this series the series result was expected.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh Second ODI 2026

 

Pakistan absolutely thrashed and crushed Bangladesh by 128 runs in the rain hit second ODI. The new comer Maaz Sadaqat like Saim Ayub is an all rounder and gave Pakistan a great start of 103 runs opening partnership before Maaz Sadaqat got out for 75 runs innings. That opening partnership with Sahibzada Farhan laid the foundation of Pakistan's competitive total of 274 all out.

Salman Ali Agha and Muhammad Rizwan also contributed to help build a partnership of hundred plus runs which lead Pakistan to a total of 274 runs. Pakistani bowlers then finished the job by bowling Bangladesh for a paltry 114 runs total with Maaz Sadaqat and Haris Rauf taking 3 wickets each.

It was a good all round show with the bat and ball for Pakistan and they have surely recovered from the disastrous performance in the first ODI.

In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan should beat Bangladesh again to win the series 2-1 against them weather permitting.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh first ODI 2026

 

Bangladesh absolutely thrashed and crushed Pakistan by 8 wickets in the first ODI. This defeat is embarrassing and shameful indeed for the Pakistani team. Pakistan clearly missing the services of Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub as a result their batting flopped and folded for just 114 runs.

One thing is for sure that the new Pakistani debutants cant handle pacemen and they dont have the right technique to handle pace bowling. In this way Nahid Rana is going to get them out cheaply in all the three matches and we are going to be bowled out for low totals all because of the new batsmen Pakistan have introduced in their team.

A lot will depend on the experienced batsmen in the Pakistan cricket team if they are too win to score heavily such as Sahibzada Farhan, Muhammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha and Hussain Talat.

In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan would do well if they can win atleast one of the remaining two matches against Bangladesh and avoid being whitewashed 3-0 by Bangladesh. 

Pakistan tour of Bangladesh 2026

 

Pakistan begin their tour of Bangladesh of three ODIs tomorrow. This time Bangladesh will be the favourites as Bangladesh are playing at home and Pakistan is sending a squad missing several key players. These key players include Babar Azam, Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman.

Babar Azam as we know is a world class player and should be included in any squad whether it is Twenty20, ODI or Test. Saim Ayub is a promising young player who always gives Pakistan a flying start and is an all rounder. Fakhar Zaman is the cleanest striker of the ball in Pakistan cricket team.

So Pakistani selectors are complacent and have under estimated the strength of Bangladesh cricket team. They shouldnt have taken the Bangladesh cricket team lightly.

In the end what I would like to say that Bangladesh will win this series probably by a margin of 2-1.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Super eights Twenty20 World Cup 2026

 

Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 5 runs in another thrilling match but failed to make the Semi Finals as they had to defend the 147 runs in order to reach the semi finals instead they allowed Sri Lanka to score 207 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Hence New Zealand is in the semi finals in place of Pakistan because of having a better Net run rate.

Have to say that luck deserted Pakistan in this tournament as their match against New Zealand was washed out and Pakistan in all probability would have won against New Zealand instead they have to contend with a super eight finish.

Throughout the tournament Sahibzada Farhan scored runs and lacked support from the other Pakistani batsmen.  If other Pakistani batsmen contributed too particularly in their super eight match against England Pakistan would have reached the semi finals of this tournament.

In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan were unlucky not to reach the semi finals of Twenty20 World Cup 2026 because of rain playing spoil sport.

Pakistan vs England, Super Eights Twenty20 World cup 2026

 

Pakistan lost a thriller to England by 2 wickets in the super eights match of the Twenty20 world cup 2026. Pakistan are now almost out of the World cup and will need a miracle that New Zealand lose all two of their remaining two matches in order to reach the semi finals and they themselves will need to beat Sri Lanka in their last super eights match.

Harry Brook literally stole away the match and almost single handedly won this match against Pakistan. If Pakistan had taken Harry Brook's wicket earlier they would have won this match. Also in batting Pakistan scored a below par total of 164 runs with Babar Azam playing a slow innings and there was absolutely no support for the inform opener Sahibzada Farhan.

In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan were unlucky in this match and they fought it out right till the end.

Pakistan vs Namibia Twenty20 world cup 2026

 

Pakistan  absolutely thrashed Namibia by 102 runs to reach the super eights part of the competition. Sahibzada Farhan scored an absolutely superb century and Usman Tariq took four wickets and Shadab khan took 3 wickets in Namibia's innings.

It was a good all round performance by Pakistan and they have regained confidence after the mauling of them by India.

Pakistan group includes tough teams like England, Sri Lanka and New Zealand in the super eights part of the competition which is the group of death. I wonder whether Pakistan will be able to reach the semi finals from this tough group in the super eights.

In the end what I would like to say that Pakistan are yet to beat a top team in Twenty20 internationals in this tournament. 

Pakistan vs india twenty20 World Cup 2026

 

Pakistan has suffered a demoralizing defeat to India by 61 runs in Colombo. Pakistan are still not out of the tournament as they now need to beat Namibia in order to qualify for super eights part of the competition. i am pretty sure Pakistan have enough fire power to overcome the challenge of Namibia.

The main difference between the two sides is Ishan Kishan innings of 77 from 40 balls which literally stole the match from Pakistan. If Ishan Kishan had been dismissed early we might have been chasing a much lower total and our batting wouldnt have crumbled under pressure.

With this performance I am not so hopeful for the Pakistani team as they may reach the super eights but fail to reach the semi finals of this tournament.

In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan will find it very difficult to uplift themselves after this massive defeat to India.

Pakistan vs USA Twenty20 World Cup 2026

 

Pakistan after defeating USA by 32 runs are definitely in with a great chance of reaching the super eights part of the competition. They now need to beat either India or Namibia in order to reach the super eights part of the competition. They will most probably beat Namibia and might lose to India.

Sahibzada Farhan was in great form in this match alongwith Babar Azam. Infact Sahibzada Farhan played a match winning innings. In bowling Usman Tariq was brilliant taking 3 wickets for 27 runs with his unique action. 

If Pakistan continue to bat like this they definitely become favourites for the tournament title and who knows they might defeat even the mighty Indians along the way.

In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan took revenge from USA for defeating them in super over in Twenty20 World Cup 2024 in USA.

Pakistan vs Netherlands World Cup Twenty20 2026

 

Pakistan beat Netherlands in a thriller by 3 wickets with Faheem Ashraf saving them. If it wasnt for Faheem Ashraf's innings Pakistan would have lost this match and wouldnt have got over the line against the Netherlands.

Babar Azam and Muhammad Nawaz played slow innings which left Pakistan in a hole untill Faheem Ashraf rescued them. 

In bowling Abrar Ahmed and Muhammad Nawaz bowled economically to restrict Netherlands to a below par total of 147. Then Sahibzada Farhan played a substantial innings before Faheem ashraf's heroics.

In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan need to drastically improve their performance if they stand any chance against USA on 10th february.

Pakistan's chances in the Twenty20 World Cup 2026

 

Pakistan has more than average chances of reaching the semi finals and perhaps if luck favours them win the World Cup in India and Sri Lanka 2026. All of Pakistan's matches will be played in Sri Lanka which will boost Pakistan's chances as the conditions suit them and they wont have to travel much.

Babar Azam is a world class batsmen in the Pakistani batting line up. Both Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha at the top of the order are in great form. They have world class all rounders in Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan and Faheem Ashraf. They have some of the fastest bowlers in the world in Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah. They have mystery and world class spinners in Abrar Ahmad and Usman Tariq. Hence Pakistan is looking like a world class and dangerous side.

This time Pakistan shouldnt have any problems in beating USA unlike in the previous twenty20 World Cup in 2024 which was held in West Indies and USA and they should easily make it to the super eights part of the competition.

In the end what I would like to say is that after white washing Australia 3-0 at home Pakistan's chances of winning the twenty20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka 2026 are looking bright.

Pakistan whitewashed Australia 3-0 in the Twenty20 Series played in Lahore 2026. This result came as a surprise as Pakistan looked pretty ordinary after the 3rd Twenty20 international which was reduced to 12 overs a side against Sri Lanka.

Everything is going in Pakistan's favour and they look confident going into the Twenty20 World Cup to be held in Sri Lanka and India in February-March 2026. Pakistan team is in great form going into this world cup and they hold the aces. 

Babar Azam is back in form which is a great sign for Pakistan cricket team. In batting Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha are in form while in Shadab Khan they have an allrounder who is equally good with both bat and ball. 

In the end what I would like to say is that after this series whitewash of Australia Pakistan appear to be one of the favourites for the World Cup in 2026 in India and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan vs Australia 1st Twenty20 International 2026

 

Pakistan defeated Australia in the first twenty20 international by 22 runs. This was Pakistan's first twenty20  international win against Australia  in 7 years. Saim Ayub performed brilliantly with both bat and ball to ensure Pakistan's win. Salman Ali Agha is also making useful contributions with the bat at no.3.

Having said that Australia have come with an under strength team they still possess a lot of challenge to this Pakistani team. In Travis Head they have a wonderful swashbuckling opener and a great spinner in Adam Zampa in bowling so if others can contribute then Australia stand a good chance of defeating us even with this team.

In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan need to improve their middle order batting if they have any chance of defeating strong teams like Australia.

Australia tour of Pakistan 2026

 

Pakistan will host Australia for three twenty20 internationals in january and February 2026 at Lahore. Although Australia always start as favourites against Pakistan in any series and in any format of the game it is hard to predict who will win this series this time as Australia and Pakistan are pretty evenly matched this time.

Pakistan are at full strength this time with Babar Azam coming back into the side after missing the tour of Sri lanka. Shaheen Afridi is also returning to the side so not only our batting will be boosted but our bowling will be boosted too with the return of these two stalwarts.

This series will serve as a catalyst to what would happen in the twenty20 World Cup in 2026 in febuary in Sri Lanka and India and would determine who are favourites for the World cup twenty20 2026.

In the end what i would like to say is that Pakistan are the home nation for this twenty20 series and they should fully utilize the home conditions.

Muhammad Hafeez a reliable all rounder

 

 

Muhammad Hafeez was a reliable all rounder and equally as effective with bat as with the ball. He captained Pakistan to a twenty20 World Cup semi final spot in 2012 held in Sri Lanka only to lose to Sri Lanka in the semi final. He was also part of the playing 11 in the Champions Trophy win of Pakistan in 2017.

Muhammad Hafeez would often make solid starts at the top order and see off the new ball. He also made his runs at a decent strike rate. His off spinners were very effective particularly in the 2011 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka where Pakistan reached the semi finals. In that World Cup his bowling partnership with Saeed Ajmal proved to be very effective.

Although Muhammad Hafeez was a mainly white ball player his contributions in test cricket cannot go unnoticed. In Pakistan - England test series in 2012 in UAE his constant dismissals of England openers in that series resulted in Pakistan whitewashing England 3-0 in that series.

In the end what I would like to say is that people used to underestimate Muhammad Hafeez's talent as a player.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2026 3rd Twenty20 international

Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 14 runs to draw and level the series 1-1. Sri Lanka were favourites for this series as they were at full strength and were expected to beat Pakistan in this twenty20 international series. On the otherhand Pakistan who were missing key players like Babar Azam, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi in their line up managed to win one match which was a good achievement by Pakistani team.

The selection in the Pakistani bowling line up wasnt right in this match as Salman Mirza who is by far a more economical and better bowler than Muhammad Wasim junior should have played in this match instead of Muhammmad Wasim Junior. Muhammad Wasim's juniors bowling was far too expensive in this match conceding 54 runs in his 3 overs which cost us the match.

In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan need to improve their bowling in death overs if they want to win the Twenty20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka in 2026.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka first twenty20 international 2026

 

Pakistan absolutely demolished Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the first twenty20 international played at Dambulla 2026. This is a good start to the calendar Year 2026 by Pakistan. Pakistan were lucky they won the toss in the first twenty20 international as batting second in these conditions is an advantage because of the dew factor.

Our bowling performed superbly particularly Salman Mirza who's bowling was outstanding to reduce to Sri Lanka to a low score of 128. Salman Mirza was ably assisted in bowling by Shadab Khan, Abrar Ahmad and Mohammad Wasim. All together it was a big all round show as Pakistan batted well also to win by 6 wickets.

In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan might win this twenty20 international series played in Sri Lanka.

Pakistan tour of Sri Lanka 2026

 

Pakistan will be touring Sri Lanka for three twenty20 internationals in January 2026. Pakistan will be severely depleted team this time because they will be missing the services of Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi and Muhammad Rizwan in this series against Sri Lanka 2026. 

The best Pakistan can hope that Sri Lanka might not whitewash Pakistan and Pakistan will win at least one match against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka are playing at home and have home and crowd advantage.

Pakistan although are in a roll having tasted success in the home series and will be quite competitive. Pakistan have been winning since October of last year and hopefully they will continue this momentum ever since that time.

In the end what I would like to say is that Sri Lanka are the favourites for this series.
