Pakistani bowlers did a wonderful job restricting Sri Lanka to a score of 268 runs under lights despite tough dewy conditions at night. The Sri Lankans were cruising towards the target when they were 253 for 5 with plenty of balls to spare. Then they lost 5 wickets for the addition of only 15 runs. This collapse induced by Pakistani pace bowlers ensured that Pakistan won by 37 runs comfortably.
Salman Ali Agha played probably his career saving innings when he scored a match winning century in this match in quick time. He was ably assisted by Babar Azam, Saad Baig and Hassan Nawaz who scored substantially.
In the end what I would like to say is that Pakistan have begun this tournament well with a win.
